Lemon & Basil to Bring Spring - 3 DIY Room Spray Recipes

Spring is the season when everything seems to come back to life. We clean, we reorganize, we lighten up... but why not take advantage of it to refresh the air naturally , with scents that evoke light, freshness, and simplicity?

At Essanzia, we believe that your home deserves to breathe better, too—and our homemade sprays with essential oils are perfect for that. Whether it's to deodorize the kitchen after a good meal, delicately scent the entryway, or restore a clean ambiance to the bathroom, the right blends make all the difference.

Today, we're sharing 3 spring-inspired recipes with you, to pour into your Essanzia continuous sprays (practical, reusable, attractive... and available in stores) or into the very attractive Boston-style bottles!

1. Coastal Breeze – lemon & basil

A simple but ultra-effective mixture for cooking.

  • 50 ml rubbing alcohol (or vodka, to help disperse the oils)
  • 100 ml of cooled distilled or boiled water
  • 10 drops of lemon essential oil
  • 8 drops of basil essential oil
  • (Optional: 2 drops of spearmint essential oil for an even fresher touch)

Lemon is known for its purifying and stimulating effect, perfect for eliminating cooking odors. Basil, meanwhile, adds a herbaceous note that calms and refocuses.

👉 Pour into an Essanzia continuous spray bottle for a fine, even mist.

2. Light spring – lavender & lemon

An ideal formula for relaxation areas (bedroom, bathroom, entrance).

  • 50 ml of rubbing alcohol
  • 100 ml of water
  • 10 drops of true lavender essential oil
  • 6 drops of lemon essential oil
  • 2 drops of rose geranium essential oil

Benefits :
Lavender relaxes, lemon awakens, and geranium balances the emotions. This trio creates an enveloping, clean, and peaceful atmosphere.

3. Green Freshness – Lime & Rosemary

For those who like a more invigorating, spa-like atmosphere, perfect for passageways or the office.

  • 50 ml of rubbing alcohol
  • 100 ml of water
